Fellow Nigerians, the images you see below were taken directly from the TV as CNN was giving a report on kidnappings and ransom payments in Nigeria. CNN is a global news channel watched all over the world.

Nigerians will recall that some weeks ago, when twitter decided to locate its west African hub in Ghana, Lai Mohammed was reported to have said that it was the actions of unpatriotic citizens that influenced such a decision.
Unfortunately, when potential investors hear news like this, they flee with their investments. Security is a major factor that influences investment decisions. You can’t have a country where bandits, kidnappers and terrorists are operating freely and then expect any serious minded investor to come and invest in your country.
In the last one month or so, we haven’t heard any cheering news from Nigeria. All the headlines have been heartbreaking, horrific and scary. It is either people were kidnapped, student kidnapped, citizens butchered, farmers killed, students killed and so on. How on earth will we attract investors?
Ghana is having the time of their lives. Kia and Hyundai that first came to Nigeria have also taken a decision to locate their assembling plants in Ghana. The impact of that to their economy is enormous.
Just yesterday, the US issued another negative travel advisory warning its citizens not to travel to certain parts of Nigeria, including Katsina state which is the state of the President.
Lai Mohammed and his co travelers in the road of lies and deceit can continue to deceive and delude themselves. The world knows what is happening. Investors know that until government does something decisive, they will continue to flee from this country.
May God help us
