If you are not a Catholic or maybe just a nominal one, you probably must not have heard about Padre Pio. He was a Catholic Priest who had the stigmata, the gift of bilocation and levitation. The stigmata are the 5 wounds of Christ.
During the period when the Church was investigating him, he was barred from celebrating Masses in public and hearing confession. Subjected to severe medical examinations to ascertain if the wounds were self inflicted and all. Suffice it to say that after 2 rigorous years of investigation, his priestly faculties were restored. During this period, he was in complete and total obedience to the Church and his superiors.
He is one of the incorruptible. His body though not preserved with any chemicals has remained as it was at the time of his death. No bodily corruption! You can Google for yourself.
Why am I saying all of these? The Catholic Church is bigger than any individual; Priest or lay faithful. The Catholic Church is not only the most organized institution in the world, it has its own country; the Vatican city. Though not perfect, it has processes for dealing with almost everything, including the resignation of a Pope.
All Priests, no matter the gift or charism they carry, are under a vow to be obedient to their Bishops. The Bishop has absolute rights over the Priests in his diocese.
Fr. Mbaka is first a Priest of the Catholic Church before anything else. At his ordination, he took a vow of total obedience amongst others. He knows what the code of Canon law says.
Good enough, the Catholic Church is not one that if you feel disgruntled, you go an start your own. While people are allowed to express their own opinion as spectators, those who don’t know how the Catholic Church function should hold their peace and observe, learn or remain silent.
Thank you.
